Conference Details
Student Selection
Minimum Required Student/Advisor Ratio
- Invite all students who have a desire to lead, serve, or minister to others. Students who have earned the privilege to attend through an essay, interview, displaying good character, or some other selection process will be poised to completely engage at the conference resulting in greater impact on your school culture and community, but ACSI does not require specific selection requirements.
- There are no limits to the number of grade 6-8 students you may bring.
- 5th graders are too young for the activities and content. Effectively training 6th-8th grades is a challenge because of the vast changes in maturity that happen during those years, so adding 5th grade makes the whole conference less effective for the higher grade levels. If you are considering sending 5th graders, please know that it will serve your student body better to make the conference something the 5th graders look forward to once they get to 6th grade.
Minimum Required Student/Advisor Ratio
- 1 Advisor for every 8 students
- Advisors must be trained and ready to engage in discussions. Chaperones or drivers who do not plan to interact, prepare for the day, and attend the training at the beginning of the day will not be counted towards the minimum required number of advisors.
- All advisors provided by your school must meet your school and state standards for volunteering with K-12 students.
